2004, a year to remember how fortunate we are...

2004, a year to remember...
A new year, a new start...but 2005 didn't get a very cheerful welcome. All new year celebrations programmes on TV was cancelled, and 2005's coming is celebrated in a sombre mood. As all of you know, 26th December 2004 will be remembered as that fateful day when hundreds of thousands of people across Indonesia, Thailand, India and many other countries lost their lives to the unmerciful forces of nature. Whole families were wiped out, whole villages were gone like they were never there. It happened so near to Malaysia, thank god nothing serious here. Made me realise how fragile life really is...

In memory of those who lost their lives on 26th December 2004...let us mourn their deaths, and lend a hand to those who survived...

Death is nothing at all.

Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped away into the next room.

I am I, and you are you,
Whatever we were to each other,
that we are still.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name be ever the
household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.

What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just round the corner.

All is well.

Happy 18th Birthday Wy Keat!
Skipped lunch for cc...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LAST BIRTHDAY BOY ON MY LIST, WY KEAT!
Phew...every 10 entries or so I had to wish someone happy birthday haha. By this time of the year i'm running out of birthday wishes already =P. Anyway, this will be the last birthday this year...coz today's my dear friend, Wy Keat's birthday. A great guy he is, and I'll say he's an all-rounder too. Good in sports, good in studies, good in gossiping, good in tackling girls (haha =P), good in everything ;). Became really really close friends with him 2 years ago, coz we were in the same class since Form 4 and went to at least 3 same tuitions together. I couldn't stay away from him even if I wanted to haha =P. But this year I didn't get to see him as much, him being in SAM and me in A-Levels. As for him in person, well he's rather chatty...too chatty hehe. Still remember those times back in Form 5 when we talk bout everything...and everyone too haha. Oh yeah, he's the one who told me YC had a girlfriend hehe ;). And you didn't even tell me, YC >=( haha. Heard he got rather good results for his SAM...congrats to ya! Hope your application into IMU get approved...maybe I'll join you in less than a year if I decided to take Medicine...

Skipped lunch for cc...guess we're falling deeper into the bottomless pit of DotA addiction...
Was enjoying myself the past week...playing PS2 and computer and sleeping the whole day =). Then YC called me out to go cc...though I don't really fancy going cc any more during this holiday. But they seem like they really want to play so I went along with them. Thing is, YC didn't tell me there's only 4 people playing, including me! That's really sad...if I knew I'll juz ask them to cancel it...

Reached YC's place at 11am, then Jem drove there a few minutes later. After waiting for Ashok, we started our cc session around 11.30am. Played one round of DotA, a building map, beat the coms in Generals then YS joined us at 2pm. Actually we wanted to leave earlier but since YS was coming...we decided to stay in the cc for a while longer to accompany him hehe. Great friends we are? =P Played on and on until it's past 5pm...and 4 of us didn't even had our lunch yet! Sad bunch of people we are...skipping lunch to play in cc sigh. Got so damn sick of DotA I didn't even want to think bout it for a week...yea dat's how sick I am ^^".

'Ocean's Twelve' at City Square

The past few days have been rather monotonous...me waking up around 2pm, had lunch, nap all the way till dinner time, had dinner with family, then online from 12am to bout 4am in the morning before going back to sleep. Not really the most enjoyable life...but at least I get to do what I want whenever I want. Too bad I won't have this luxury in Subang...where there's always something to do, clothes to be washed, homework to be done...sigh.

Anyway staying at home everyday was really getting to me so I called the rest out to watch Ocean's Twelve. Initially I planned for it to be on Tuesday but Yih Seong wanted to wait for YC to come back. But then Ashok's going up to KL today until Christmas. After days of changing the plans and dozens of SMS sent out from my hp, we settled for today...mainly coz we spent too much time planning and before we realise, it's Wednesday already. Which means we had to abandon Ashok...well, we'll make up for it some other time k?

Woke up around 8am and took a bus to City Square with my younger brother (he's going to watch movie with his friends there too) at bout 10am. Met up with YC, Jem, YS, Leong and Eric there. Most of the others couldn't make it...sigh. As the next Ocean's Twelve show was at 1.15pm, we went to have our lunch at the same old Japanese restaurant we always go...coz we couldn't think of anywhere else besides McDonald's. As for the movie, it's not bad...though not as good as I expected it to be. Got a little bit confused near the end coz there's juz too many twists in the plot ^^". Btw I'll watch Ocean's Eleven on Channel 5 next Sunday...heard it's much better than its sequel.

After the movie, we went to cc to quench YS's thrist for DotA hehe. And we wanted to see how good Eric really is ;). Btw a few days back I found a way to play Warcraft online...but so far only YS's able to do it. Good for him I guess...he's been complaining he's damn bored at home hehe. Maybe he'll get damn good at DotA after all the training he gets at home...^^

A quick note on other people...

Juz a quick note here on other people...

Chuin Hau SMSed me in the morning to tell me he managed to get into Sunway College for double degree in Biotechnology / Biomedical for four years. Congrats man! Guess we'll be seeing you again next year =). Thought of doing the same course too but I've not decided on which one to take yet. Maybe that or Medicine or Veterinary (yea juz like Hoi ^^) or something else but we'll see. I'll decide when the time comes I guess...

Chow SMSed me to say he passed by Senai! Hmm...didn't even tell us he's coming to JB >=( hehe. Actually he'll be going to Singapore and was juz passing by Senai. Said Senai was very far from JB...now you know how far I travel to school everyday since Standard 1 ;). Asked him to stay in JB for a while but he said his mom told him there won't be enough time for that. Well, there's always next time...

As for Paul, he's somewhere in Europe now on a tour with his family. Not sure where he is though...I'm not very familiar with the name of the places there ^^". Heard he'll be celebrating Christmas in Rome...hope he had fun over there =).

Futsal (in JB) at last...

Futsal at last...
After a few postponements due to the difficulty in finding the time for everyone, Yih Seong planned futsal for yesterday initially. Then we had to delay the futsal for a day coz I had to meet Jeng Khay and the rest for a movie. Sorry, Yih Seong...

The futsal was supposed to begin at 11am...but I only woke up at 10.30am by Yong Chen's phone call ^^". I was supposed to go to his place in the morning but I overslept hehe. Dad drove me to the Larkin stadium at 11.20am and I hopped into Jem's car (the directions to the futsal court was not really clear coz only You Jin and Mahendra know the place). Started playing at 11.30am till 2pm (actually we were supposed to stop at 1pm but we played on for another hour). Me aside, Jem, YC, YS, Ashok, You Jin, Chua, Xing Loong, Eric, Boon Shih, Mahendra and Keith were there. We played an All Stars vs 'the rest' match, and surprisingly 'the rest' team won by one goal at 5 - 4 =). But maybe we won coz it's 7 against 5 so they have no substitutes hehe. Then it's St Joseph* vs 'the rest' match...which was juz exactly like the previous one (and sadly, St Joseph wasn't the All Stars team ^^"). Around 10 minutes before time, I had cramps on both my legs, thus the match had to stop at 7 – 7. Well, sorry again guys...if not we could have beat them another time haha =P. Had our lunch after futsal at a mamak restaurant not far away...and it's no match for Subang's Melur or Rafi anytime ;).
*St Joseph was our primary school. Among us from that school include me, Jem, YC, Ashok, Mahendra, Boon Shih and Eric. And no, Yih Seong, a day in St Joseph doesn't make you one of us haha =P

Meet up with old friends...

Meet up with old friends...
Planned with Jeng Khay to meet for some movie during the holidays. It's been like a year since I last met him...and he grown tougher I think hehe. Called Looi, Jim Long and Boon Shih along. There wasn't any nice movie at that time except Ocean's Twelve...but Looi wanted to watch Bunshinsaba (the Korean horror movie). So in the end we watched Bunshinsaba coz Ocean's Twelve's next show is more than an hour later. It should be a horror movie but somehow, it's juz not scary at all. I'll say it's really lame as a horror movie =(. But maybe that's juz me...coz according to critics, it's the no 1 horror movie bla bla bla...you get my drift ;)

Saw You Jin and Ariff with another girl outside the cinema after the movie. Apparently Ariff got himself a Chinese girlfriend! Haha...but I guess that's not really surprising. The last few years in our secondary school he's been asking us to teach him mandarin! Looks like he put them to good use haha...

Back home...after so long =)

Back home...after so long =)
Woke up at 9am to get ready for our journey home. Labelled everything within sight, dumped our guitars at Paul's place and left 121D at 11.30am. Won't be coming back till next year...and according to the Hostel Management fellars, we are gonna get a new washing machine, TV, water heater in the master bedroom (that's mine, YC's and Leong's room!), and a few other additions. Hope they get the fridge replaced with a bigger one...or at least repair the old one ^^

Our bus left Pudu at 12.50pm and reach the toll 4 hours later. About 200m from the Senai toll, the bus broke down. Fortunately I was getting down at the toll =). Jem, YS, Leong and Pat had to wait for another bus to come pick them up and send them to the Larkin bus station. And I thought that this time, there won't be any mishaps since we were going back together. It's juz fate isn't it haha. There have to be some problems when we travel back together in a bigger than 2 people group...but I guess we should be thankful we always reach home safely =)

Sem 3 - Chem
DotA mini-tournament
Ms Ho's last-day-of-college party ;)
Last DotA in Subang...

Sem 3 - Chemistry
8.30am went to gallery for the first time since we came to Taylor's to sit for Chem paper. Really hard to me...but then I don't think it really matters anyway =P. From what I hear, the others juz gonna crap in the paper. Most of them didn't even bother to study for it ^^". Guess Ms Chan will have an easy time marking our paper...but she did saw this coming all along ;)

DotA mini-tournament ^^
10.30am, PM1 DotA players and one of Wy Keen's friend (to make up the numbers) split into 4 teams and have a mini-tournament! I was drafted into Hoi's team, along with Zi Yang and Wy Keen's friend. In the first round, we beat Paul, Yong Chen, Pat and Tiong...albeit a bit unfairly haha (we got damn strong heroes...but it's juz their luck coz it's -ar). Didn't finish the second round against Ashok, Jem, Afree and Shan coz the coms hanged halfway. But we were losing anyway hehe...

After DotA, we came home to pack all of our stuff coz we're leaving Subang for a month tomorrow. Had to clean up our desk and stuff whatever that's left over in 121D into our wardrobes. Hope no one even try to open mine...it's overflowing and in constant danger of an avalanche ^^". After packing, we had nothing to do so me, Jem and YC went down for our last Bob Cup action for the year. Paul join after a while and an hour later the other guys from My Place join too. Only recognize one of them...my bro's friend's bro, Sundar. He passed a file (containing some documents from back home) to me earlier this year but I doubt he still recognizes me...

Ms Ho's belated birthday party in disguise...
Ms Ho invited our class for this party on the last day of college...and she didn't want to tell us what it's for. According to our 'sources', Ms Ho's birthday was a few days ago! Seems like this party is juz her belated birthday party in disguise haha...

Around 6.30pm, they started preparing the tables, food and other stuff on the badminton court downstairs. We only went down an hour later coz there's almost no one down there before that. Surprisingly, most of our class came...in fact, we are the class with the highest 'attendance' ^^. Ate the food, mingle around (well, sort of...) and then people start getting thrown into the pool. First it's Timothy coz he's a birthday boy (I didn't know that...), then Paul and next Madhavan. The last one into the pool was Li Shan, and really fierce she was haha. Paul even got scratches on his hands while helping 3 other guys to dump her into the pool. And 4 guys were barely enough to do the job...she was struggling and kicking so hard haha...

Last DotA in Subang...
After the party, our class walked one round to all the cc around My Place to find one to fit 16 of us. Thankfully we managed to play in Silver Surfer after the other 'better' cc were full. Denise even joined us for this round! She was in my team and hey, she's not bad at all...only that Paul keep bullying her haha. After our other classmates left, Li Shan came in to play. Saw only her playing with Timothy so I asked Jem, Leong and Paul to join them. Li Shan and Timothy weren't really good...and I gave chances to Li Shan because of that haha. No ulterior motives, I swear! And she didn't even return the favour lol ^^". Halfway playing, Denise came back into Silver Surfer to check how Li Shan's doing...guess she's getting hooked on DotA too haha. I hope not...for her own good ;). After all the DotA, Paul blanja us drinks in Melur =)

Sem 3 - Phy
Members of Warnet! =)
Monkey in My Place?!

Sem 3 - Physics
6.30am woke up to do last minute Physics revision but gave up like half an hour later. Juz impossible for me to comprehend all that Gravitational and Thermo thingies. Resorted to juz memorising the equations and hope for the best ^^". Went into MPH for our Physics paper from 8.30am to 9.30am.

We are members of Warnet now...
10.30am, we went for a round of DotA at Warnet. Apparently we can get member price at Warnet now even tho we didn't even register for it (we did ask last time but they ran out of forms). Anyway we are their 'regular' customers ever since they opened so we do deserve some discounts =P. I wonder if that will make us go cc more often...if that's even possible ^^.

Monkey at My Place?!
Lunch after DotA, then everyone came home to talk bout DotA...till one by one got tired and went to sleep. Woke up from my nap around 6pm to see everyone still asleep. Then I went to the balcony and whoa, there's a gathering of My Place citizens at the gazebo beside the pool! Saw the Sarawakians, Madhavan, Timothy and even Jem down there. A while later I found out that they were on a lookout for a monkey...in My Place. Yup, a monkey. Wonder what's a monkey doing around here. How did it even came to My Place...there's no zoo nearby that I know of (except a petting zoo...but i doubt it came from there), let alone forest around here. Later I heard that the monkey went into Paul's apartment, tore some bread into pieces (so that's where the pieces of bread on our balcony come from...) and empty its bowels in Yun's room. Haha...thank god it didn't visit our apartment...

Sem 3 - Math and Bio

Sem 3 - Math and Bio
Woke up at 5am to do some Bio and last minute Math. Math paper at 8.30am. Rather easy I admit =P. But then again I'm most confident in math so that doesn't come at a surprise hehe. Had lunch with Yong Chen, Jem and Ashok then it's Biology paper. Not the easiest Bio paper I did but still I can manage I hope ^^

After Bio, Jem accompany Paul for his lunch (we didn't call him to join us earlier ^^") but he never came back. Apparently he got stuck in Gamesworld haha. Came back home, everyone hit the beds right away. But not me...surprisingly =P. Read some Physics for tomorrow's paper then nap till dinner at 8pm. Revise some more till 11.35 before I had to stop.

Monday 6 December 2004

The day before Semester 3 exams...

Yesterday...
Got back the Chem test results yesterday and it's worse than what I expect. Only managed to scrape a 26 out of it =(...even Shan and Ashok got higher than me! lol...And they didn't even study at all! Paul got 74 and Chow got 64 I think. Sigh...not that I'm really shocked though, juz a little bit disappointed. Guess I have to work harder now...

Didn't join them for DotA during the break yesterday coz I'm running out of money!! ^^". Now I've only 50 bucks to last till the holidays and that include the bus ticket fee! Looks like I'll have to ask money from dad again. Sigh...feel so bad wasting money like this...

Today...
As for today, nothing much except that everyone skipped college. By the time we reach Chem, our last subject, we're left with 10 people (amazingly, Shan stayed till the end haha). Not very unusual...this always happen when exams are coming.

At night, half of us were studying frantically while the other half...well, they were enjoying themselves frantically. At the same time me, Yong Chen and Yih Seong were studying like mad for the Sem 3 exams, Ashok, Leong and Pat were shouting and screaming like mad playing pool on Pat's hp. It got so bad that Yih Seong had to go into his room to study ^^". As for Jem, well he's doing wat he does best : sleeping haha =P. And this is the day before our Sem 3 exams, if you still don't realise ;)

Friday 3 December 2004

Me so damn tired...
'Bourne Supremacy' at Hoi's place
Newcastle 0 - 4 Chelsea

Sigh...I need to pay back my sleep debt soon. Ever since before AS exams, I've not been getting more than 8 hours of sleep every day (dat's NOT enuff, mind you =P). Got so damn tired last night that I fell asleep at 10pm and left my clothes in the washing machine overnight. The washing machine's still half-dead btw...keep beeping and stop spinning halfway for reasons only God knows. Jem was chosen to call that Nelson guy to repair the washing machine bout a month plus ago but it seems like he's not going to do it anyway... (if I was chosen I'd be too lazy to call him too)

After waiting for Ashok and Jem to wake up (yea...it's always waiting for the same pigs haha =P), we ate lunch at Silva's, then decided to go for DotA. Don't know why, lately we've been craving for DotA day in, day out. Maybe we juz got to de-stress after the one-month long AS exams. But the thing is, next week will be our Sem 3 exams =(. Nvm, enjoy ourselves while we can ya? =P

'Bourne Supremacy' at Hoi's place
At night, we had dinner at McD's without Jem coz he went for church thingy (hey sorry we didn't know you'll be eating with us). Then Hoi asked us to go to his house to watch 'Bourne Supremacy' on DVD. That evening, he bought an original DVD coz there's a police raid juz as he was looking for DVDs. What a coincidence ^^. Actually I've been wanting to watch it ever since it came out in cinemas though I missed the first one coz Paul and Jem said it's really nice. But then, Jem said he got the DVD so I was going to borrow it when I got back to JB. But now that I've watched it, I have more free time back in JB... =)

Newcastle 0 – 4 Chelsea
I really really want to watch this match at first...but then the others rather watch 'Bourne Supremacy'. Yeah, I'm a Newcastle (and Exeter too ;) ) fan, if you don't know by now. I think I began supporting the Magpies like since lower secondary school...a while before Ruud Gullit took over and mess up the whole team ^^" but I've never been a hardcore fan of them till this year. Heard the score from Jem after I got back from the DVD session at Hoi's place (Jem watched it before so he didn't join us...he's still at Rafi having dinner by the time we went to watch anyway) but I'm not very surprised at it, though 4 – 0 is a bit too harsh on them. At the way things are going right now...Newcastle's gonna have a tough season... =(

Happy 18th Birthday Paul!
'Alexander', the too-gay movie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR 8TH APARTMENTMATE, PAUL!
Now, Paul is our 8th apartmentmate, for the no-knocking-on-the-door-before-coming-in way he comes into 121D haha. He'll juz bang the door open, much to everyone's shock ^^ (sometimes we thought some robbers are coming in or something). Seriously, Paul's really close to 7 of us, hence the 8th part. We already treat him as one of us, letting him come in and go as he wishes (which explains the way he comes in). If you still can't see it yet, Paul's a really great guy...and a much better friend ;). In fact, he's so great the whole Taylor's know him..and it's really true! Besides being louder and more straight-forward than 'normal' people, he's a 'happy bunny' inside (find out which one you are below ;) ). So here's wishing Paul a very big happy 18th birhday! Wish you all the best in whatever you do =).

you're so dumb
you are the "you're so dumb" happy bunny.
you are brutal in your words and enjoy putting
others down.

which happy bunny are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

’Alexander’, the too-gay movie ^^"
After college (which I slept thru half of it...but what's new =P), me went to Pyramid with Pat, Leong, Yong Chen, Ashok, Shan, Paul and Zi Yang. Problem is, we got only 1 car and there's 8 of us. So with some squeezed asses here and some squashed balls there, all of us managed to get into Shan's 1.6 Waja. Pat and Yong Chen in the front passenger and Paul sitting across our laps behind. Not to say the most comfortable car ride, but it still gets us there ;).

After we bought the tickets for 'Alexander', we walked around the mall to pass time. So me and Yong Chen went to the Bata shop downstairs to browse around with the rest joining soon afterwards. While paying for my sandals, the rest walked out of the shop without telling me. So when I didn't see them around, I thought they went downstairs (Zi Yang said there's a Nike shop downstairs). I walked for a short distance downstairs, when Paul called me to ask where am i. Then two really familiar persons walked in front of me in my direction. Guess what, it's Jem and Melanie! Apparently Jem abandoned us to go on a 'date' with her haha...such friend =P

Hoi called to say he's joining us juz before the movie started. Thankfully I was able to get a seat juz next to ours ^^. As for the movie...it's ok la. Too much gay-ish scenes though...and I shivers everytime that Bagoas fellar came on screen. He looks so...gay haha. Don't get me wrong here, I got nothing at all against gays...but it's juz too unbearable looking at him getting 'comfy' with Alexander. Urgh...But other than those scenes, it's rather a watchable movie. Only that it's 3 hours long (ouch my ass...) and too few battle scenes ^^.

Chemistry test from hell
Return to futsal
Paul's birthday celebrations

Chemistry test...no...
To get us ready for the Sem 3 exams, Ms Chan decided to throw in a Chem test juz a week before that (we won't be studying anyway she said...as if setting a paper will get us studying...). It'll be on A2 Organic Chemistry...the mother of all damn-hard-Chem-topics =(. Tried to study for it since 2 days ago...but I guess no amount of revision gonna get me ready for it. As expected, it turned out to be impossibly hard...for me at least. Could juz look blankly at the paper and tried to write something on it anyway...anything is better than nothing rite. Chem wasn't my forte so I guess I'm not surprised I couldn't answer like two thirds of the paper. Ah...to hell with the paper. Gonna concentrate on Sem 3 next week...

Futsal action! And we got really rusty after so long...
During Physics class this morning, we were told by Mr Chan that his team (mostly Phy lecturers) will be playing futsal against PM3. Somehow Paul got us into that match to make it a three-way game ^^. It's been like, more than a month since we last played...but Mr Chan's team wanted to get their revenge for the last time they got beaten (I wasn't playing yet at that time). So with no warm-up match and no training at all for all the weeks we've not been playing futsal due to AS exams, we head straight for our doom ^^"

As it turned out, our futsal team performance was dismal at most. Only managed to win once against PM3 and once against Phy lecturers out of 6 games. Before we even started, Shan and Hoi were really nervous coz we haven't play futsal for a long time. And they were one of our best players. What more can I say? ^^. With this ends our futsal season for 2004. No more 'unbeatable' in front of PM1 futsal team I guess haha...

Paul's birthday celebrations!
Tomorrow will be Paul's birthday...so true to our tradition, we gonna have a birthday celebration at midnight! =) But we didn't have much time to plan for it though...it was during my dinner with Pat, YC, Ashok and Leong at Coffee Cabana that I asked what are we gonna do. Thing is, nobody really thought of what we gonna do ^^". In the end, I had to do all the planning...sigh. Went to library after dinner, and luck be on our side, I saw John there...but right before he went out. I rushed out to find him...but then Ashok's still using the computer inside! ^^" After waiting for Ashok, we walked towards Silver Surfer (I saw him turning right outside college...so I thought he went cc la) but then we saw him in Kiosk. So after discussing a while, we agreed to share Paul's cake...and we gonna have the celebrations at their place.

Next thing, I had to asked YS and Denise to buy the birthday cake (he went out somewhere...and he told me he can buy a cake if we want). With the cake and place settled, all we gonna do now is wait =). And what better way to wait than playing DotA (this is YS's logic...tho I can't really relate to it haha). About 12.20am, Jem gave us a heads-up (he and Paul went for some church thingy and birthday celebrations with church friends). Didn't finish our game yet...but then that can wait. Went to Paul's apartment to get everything ready for his arrival. John was sleeping by the time we got into their place ^^"...thankfully Tiong and Yun were up.

12.30am, we heard and saw a car stopping downstairs. So we turned off all the lights. Then Yun realised the outside light was off too so she went to on it (apparently Paul saw the light being turned on and got suspicious). Then Paul saw our slippers outside his place, and he ran upstairs shouting haha (Jem blocked the way down ^^). Then somehow, he managed to run all the way downstairs and refused to come into his place. Actually we didn't plan to 3-4 him the moment he stepped in (that's why we didn't bother to hide our shoes)...we never plan any birthday 3-4 in fact. It's all spontaneous so you can't predict when we gonna act haha (that's wat make it so 'exciting' =P...the waiting for it to come part haha). The candles were melting already and Paul still refused to come in. We had to promise him there won't be any 3-4 before he came in (he can be so naïve haha =P). So all was well, with the usual birthday song and the candle-blowing. THEN the 3-4 signal is flashed, and on comes the pre-bashing birthday song...and as intended, Paul was caught unguarded haha. Caught hold of him and gave him his due bashing ^^ (Pat was using an empty 5L water bottle haha). We've been waiting for this for a long time already muhahaha...

After the birthday cake eating session, Paul blanja all of us an hour of cc each! Thanx Paul...we never expect you to treat us anything actually ^^

Zi Yang blanja us cc!

Zi Yang blanja us cc!
Talk bout being desperate haha...this morning when Zi Yang asked us to go play DotA, we told me we'll only go if he blanja. And who knows, he agreed to it! Haha...that's 4 bucks for each of 8 of us (excluding Pat and Hoi...they weren't included in the deal =P). Felt bad bout it...but then if he wants to spend his money on us, we couldn't stop him rite? haha =P. Actually he told us he won bout RM300 on football bet so he's feeling generous today ^^. Somehow, i don't feel so bad anymore haha...

Our numbers has increased...
From this day onwards, there'll be 6 of us eating meals together...twice the usual number of people. Coz Yong Chen, Pat and Leong will be joining us for lunch and dinner EVERY day! We don't get the privilege eating with them everyday you know haha =P. (SAM's term has finished, you see...). Juz one more and it's back to how many we started off with...(it's a far-fetched thought tho ;) )

Happy 18th Birthday Yong Chen!
Back to classes...
Wo men bei fang fei ji...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME BEST FRIEND, YONG CHEN!
Here's a birthday dedication to Yong Chen, my best friend and worst enemy =). Known him since primary school and I think he changed somewhat since then. A lot more Ah Beng now haha =P. I can't say much bout him (coz he'll be reading this haha) but all I can tell you is, he's a really great guy ;) (no, he's not beside me watching me type every word...). He's somewhat quiet but he can be a great cock-talking partner if you want. Maybe that's what you'll be if you get stuck with Yih Seong for 2 whole years haha =P. We owe him a lot too coz he's been willing to let his place be our meeting ground before our cc action each and every time. And also as our stay-over parties ground last time...(now it's Ashok's mansion ;) ). Happy birthday Yong Chen! Nothing but the best I'm wishing for ya ;)

Btw happy birthday to my other friend, Thanesh too. Got to know him in Form 3, when he sat besides Yong Chen in front of me (coincidence, eh? Two guys sharing the same birthday sitting next to each other...). Didn't get to see him much nowadays tho he's studying SAM in Taylor's as well. But still a very happy birthday to him =). Hope he get great results for his SAM.

Back to classes =(
College starts again for around a week plus before we sit for our Semester 3 exams. Which means every lecturer will be rushing thru the syllabus like there's no tomorrow. And all of us will be sleeping in class in the process. Ok, so it's juz me sleeping in class haha =P.

Dozed off during class...even Ms Ho's class ^^". Thankfully she didn't make a big fuss over it...guess she understands I'm damn tired after the trip. Besides, I already felt sleepy thinking bout our extra Chemistry class today =(. Btw Anne and the rest bought a cake for YC's birthday this morning. Too bad Ms Chan didn't allow us to celebrate in class (in the hope that we can waste a bit of Chem class's time). Seems she's not gonna fall for the same trick twice hehe. Anyway YC did get his deserved birthday bashing in class ^^...but i didn't touch you i swear haha. After college we went for the usual DotA...with me, YC and Ashok staying longer to play Warhammer which lasted till 7pm! If that's not crazy I don't know what is...=P

Wo men bei fang fei ji...(our plane got abandoned...)
For dinner we had our due birthday treat from Yong Chen =). Leong paid for a part of it with his parents' money which was meant for us (we always get the other's parents to treat us every time they came up ^^). Ate in the nearby Pizza Hut...been a really long time since we ate together haha. That in part is due to nobody's celebrating birthday since June...(You know what, every month from January to June is someone's birthday month in 121D! Really interesting eh...).

Before that, Chiang Wey and Adrian contacted us to tell us they're in Subang. Planned with them to go cc at night. So we called Paul along and went to Warnet after dinner at around 9.00pm to wait for them. 9.30pm they still not there yet. When we called them, they say they were still playing with their other friends in Warnet Xedition and they won't be joining us! And here we are waiting juz to play with them. Jem even reserved seats for them already...thank god we don't need to pay for them. So with seats already taken, what else can we do? ^^"

Lanjut trip Day 3 - Back in My Place

Paul and YS came into our room to wake us up for breakfast at around 8.30am (breakfast's supposed to end around 9am). Zi Yang continued to sleep in the room and didn't come along with us. After that there's supposed to be a 'Nature Walk' but we decided to give it a miss because it started to drizzle a bit (plus we thought it won't be very interesting anyway). Instead, some of us rented bicycles for an hour from around 10.30am. It's been a really long time since i last rode a bike...took me a while to get used to it ^^. Me, YC and Chow tried to find the airfield to collect some iron ores, but due to my misdirection, I almost led them out of the resort when it started to rain ^^". We ended up back where we started, albeit half drenched hehe. Only after getting Afree to lead us did we get to the airfield. It looks sort of like an empty stretch with lots of reddish-brown rocks (which I found out were iron ores) on it...and Afree said he thinks it's been unused for a while. I can really see that. Wandered around with Ian Zing, Afree and Yong Chen before picking up some ores to bring home as memento.

After returning the bicycles, bathed and packed, we had our last meal in Lanjut before leaving at around 1.30pm. Reached home 5 hours later, with all of us sleeping the whole journey ^^. Guess everyone's really tired...but then by the time we reached Subang, we nearly went for DotA. Sigh haha...

Yong Chen's birthday surprise ;)
Juz 3 days without DotA and our fingers are really itching to play. And so after dinner, we went for one game with Paul, Tiong and David. Somehow, things look like we can't live without DotA...and I don't like the sound of that ^^".

ACTUALLY, the DotA game was juz a sort of time-wasting till Yong Chen's birthday tomorrow! ;). At the struck of midnight, Paul brought up a blueberry cake from his apartment downstairs (I don't know who bought it...it doesn't matter rite? =P). He didn't seem really surprised to me...but maybe that's because we had too many midnight birthday celebrations before this. Well, at least he does seem happy bout it ^^. Too bad he didn't get the birthday bashing he deserved for some reasons (for safety reasons...OUR safety ;) ). Finished the cake in less than 15 minutes, and we're off to sleep for tomorrow's class. Sigh...I'm gonna miss the class trip...

Lanjut trip Day 2

Woke up at 7.30am for breakfast at 8. Only Anne from her room managed to make it to the dining place...the others couldn't get out of their beds ^^". But she 'tapaued' back some food for them so I guess they don't miss much of the breakfast. After breakfast, treasure hunt is next on our activities list. I got teamed up with Ian Zing, Adelin, Ashok and Chow. Have to literally run all over the resort to find those stuff we need to find...but it's kinda fun though we lost. Among the 'treasures' include a starfish, balloon, toilet paper, the manager’s signature, an iron ore (which is found in the airfield some miles away from where we start), a crab's claw (which we couldn't find...or you might say, couldn't catch), and a Rhu branch. After finding all the stuff, we're supposed to find answers to 10 questions regarding the resort...but we got those answers from Jem's group =P.

After the treasure hunt is done, we're given freedom to do watever we want. So we played beach volleyball! =) It was really fun...though we were picking up the ball more than hitting it ^^". The strong wind didn't help either. Add to it the fact none of us really knew how to play and you have a volleyball that spends more time on the ground ;). Paul and Wy Keen missed the treasure hunt and volleyball, Paul because of his toe and Wy Keen of his stomach. Wy Keen even skipped lunch because he had stomachache this morning...

Then it's water polo time at around 4.30pm =). If you could call what we were playing was water polo anyway. It's hard for me to play...coz I don't even know how to swim ^^". Thankfully the pool isn't very deep, or I'll have to miss it. This time, Paul joined us tho his toe isn't any better. And we get to witness Wy Keen's talent in water polo haha ^^. Really had much fun in water polo...though we didn't even keep track of the score (there's only like a 5 seconds intervals between goals ;) ). Oh yeah...Zi Yang got his 3-4 finally in the pool (we've been planning this for weeks haha =P). He nearly got killed by Shan's cannonball dive in the last part of the 3-4 haha...

Today's dinner is BBQ style =). Now, BBQ is what we always have during BNOs but this time, none of us have to do the cooking =P. And no more complaints bout 'Where did my [enter your favourite food here] go??'. After the dinner, the resort's staff gave a performance. It's funny alright, especially the dancing part (Shan's still doing the palms-shaking-in-front-of-face move after the trip haha). And I still couldn't believe we line danced lol...

The last activity of the day was the 'War Game' or so they called it. How can us getting sprayed with coloured water with no chance or retaliation be considered 'war'? We're so helpless haha ^^. Anyway, we're split into 2 teams this time, and each of us was given an egg. We were supposed to walk in the jungle again (different route this time), across several obstacles, with two watergun-totting staff walking besides us drenching us in green- or red-coloured water, all the while keeping our egg safe. Not a very tough job to do, especially since we juz walked around the obstacles instead of through it (they don't seem to care anyway so why not =P). Needless to say, all of our eggs were intact except for Yih Seong's, which he 'accidentally' crushed on one of the staff ^^. We thought of pelting them with our eggs too...as some sort of defense =P. And Anne complained they were aiming at her ass all the time haha. So after the 'War Game', you can see each of us in two colours only – red and green ;). One of them even drew a cross on the back of my shirt ^^". Oh yeah before you all remind me, i was walking alongside Adelin during the game. But nothing happened k =P. She was so scared she didn't even know who I was at the start haha ^^". And while running the last stretch to the resort's entrance (our finishing line), she fell along the way. Sigh why do we have to run...not that it really matters if we won or not anyway (the winner is based the number of unbroken eggs and the duration spent to reach the end. But there's no winner in the end...coz it's juz to teach us teamwork, leadership, bla bla bla...^^). Paul, Wy Keen and Chow skipped the 'War Game'. Chow got infected with flu after the water polo...

After getting ourselves all wet in two colours, we decided to go for a swim in the pool to wash it off (the staff even suggested it to us). But then it starts to rain and we have to return to our rooms after a few minutes in the pool =(. Juz when i was relaxing myself in there...Then after bathing, we watch a bit of TV and ate most of the snacks we bought with the rest joining us in our room. Slept around 1.40am after we ran out of food ;).

Lanjut trip Day 1

Today's the day we all have been waiting for. We'll be off to Lanjut on holiday! =)

Besides those who didn't come along on the trip, Jem, Paul and Chow went to college. The rest of us juz slept till the last minute possible before congregating in 121D (we never agreed to let our place be the meeting ground...^^"). Not that you can blame us anyway...we need all the sleep we can get prior to the trip ;). After everyone's in My Place ready to go, and after waiting for Yong Chen who rushed back all the way from JB juz for this trip, we boarded the bus we rented...which charges a hell lot of money juz to send us there and back. But then it'll only be half full coz it's a 40-something-seater bus and there’s only around 20 of us. Oh well, at least we get 2 seats for ourselves each...

Bout 11am the bus came, and we had to lug our baggage as far as 2km juz to reach the bus ^^". At least the bus was rather comfortable though from the outside it looks juz like any other Bas Sekolah, with the same words emblazoned across its sides. After reserving our own seats, we got excited. And we talked DotA. And for half the journey it's about DotA. Sigh...I thought we're on this trip to get away from all that haha ^^". Some of them even wished for a cc over there in Lanjut lol...talk bout desperation =P

6 hours and half a thousand kilometres later, we reached Lanjut. Actually we’re supposed to reach there a bit earlier but then the drivers lost their way. Wonder if they are worth what we paid them for. I guess we should be grateful we even reach our destination ^^. Somewhere along the journey, we stopped by some small town for lunch (i forgot the name of the town). Ate chicken rice...but it really sucks =P. Bought snacks and drinks there too...in case we got hungry or something over there in Lanjut. Afree said things there will be expensive...(but I don't even see any food there besides those on our plates during mealtime...)

Anyway, Lanjut is located somewhere near Endau-Rompin, near the border between Pahang and Johor, far away from civilisation. Afree suggested it as our holiday destination coz he went there before a few years back and according to him it'll be fun (we don't doubt it anyway...anywhere's more fun than Subang). We stayed in the Lanjut Golden Beach Resort during our time there...which is not bad coz the bed was juz so damn comfy ^^. I was to share room with Jem, YC and Zi Yang. YS, Paul, Ashok and Shan will be our neighbours while Afree, Chow, Wilson and Wy Keen will be on our other side. Denise, Ian Zing and Adelin together (apparently Ian Zing said she'll go only if she's allowed to bring another girl along, and who will that be besides our ex-classmate Adelin...) and Pat, Hoi, Anne and Wen Ying on the other block (they changed room for some reason I don't remember...and they even stole the pillows from their old room lol...).

First thing on the activities list after checking in is telematch. Now, most of us (including me too ;) ) doesn't seem to have much interest in playing any telematch...well for me it felt really childish ^^. But still, it's included in the package we paid for so we have to play it anyway. It turned out rather ok I guess, but the beach football we played next is on the top of my "Most fun event in Lanjut" list =). For the beach football, we split into two teams, me, Zi Yang, Chow, Paul, Ashok and Shan against Jem, YS, Hoi, YC, Wy Keen and Pat. Afree and Wilson played for a short while before leaving us to kick each other ourselves (they weren't really into football ;) ). Something important to mention here, this game is Pat's debut game! ^^ We've been getting him to play all year long but he keeps giving all kind of excuses (like his foot's injured from the warts-removal operation...but that's like months ago). He played really well for his first game...except that he stepped on people's feet too much hehe. Apparently Paul's toe got injured by Pat during the game...and it's so bad he couldn't walk the next few days. Of all the time to get injured...^^"

7.30pm is dinner buffet time =). But if first impression counts for anything, this resort is damn slack in the food department. Coz that dinner they served us was hardly edible at all. If not because we're hungry after all that vigorous exercise in the evening, we would've gladly skipped it. No wonder they did it buffet style...nobody's going for second helpings anyway ^^. Next up at 9pm is the horror walk. We were split into 3 teams and were instructed to walk through the jungle in total darkness, except for those little candles as our checkpoints and only guide through the jungle. Not that I'm bragging or anything, but it really takes a lot to scare me really =P. Those cloth and mannequins and fake snake and loud music and staff who were paid a few bucks to sit there and wait for people to scare (as found out by Pat's group lol...) were a good effort but obviously it ain't enough to scare most of us (except the girls of course...apparently Denise was screaming all the way haha. And Anne was really afraid to go for the walk...she even warned us that she'll have a heart attack ^^").

Sometime during late night, we decided to go to the beach for some drinking session (Hoi stole a bottle of bacardi from his home ^^). Most of us drank the bacardi-coke concoctions made mostly by Wen Ying except for those few hardcore non-drinkers =P (you know, Jem and Chow hehe). Shan drank a lot of it...and ended up half-drunk and talking nonsense. But then, he's always talking nonsense so it's hard to tell haha =P. I had my fair share of it, and Shan and Ashok even forced a really concentrated bacardi (according to them anyway...it tastes the same as the more diluted one I had earlier) on me. None of us were drunk thankfully, but it's mainly bcoz we ran out of bacardi ^^". Well, how can one bottle be enough? Only Anne got a bit tipsy but she still can walk back so I figure she's fine. As for me, I juz got a mild headache while I was trying to sleep...(and you know how rumours spread, by the next morning Anne thought I got hangover ^^"). Paul came to join us for a while before heading back when it starts to drizzle a bit, and Wy Keen preferred his PS2 in the room than joining us for a drink ^^.

Ended the night with some PS2 action in Afree's room. Truth be said, I've never seen Chow so...animated before haha. He was taunting and shouting all the while he's holding the controller lol. Guess I haven't seen every side of everyone yet ;). But he only played during the break in between our activities...he fell asleep right away after the drinking session ^^. It's around 1am when we finally hit the beds...and I'll be sharing the big bed with Zi Yang while Jem and YC took the smaller beds at the side. I really don’t mind actually...the big bed is so damn comfy ;). Too bad we'll change beds tomorrow...

And so ends the first day of our holidays, which seems so long yet so short. And there's so much more to do here!

College starts again =(
YS - Paul brief conflict
DotA...

College starts today after our one-day-after-exams-break. Sigh... ^^. But at least we don't have to sit through Mrs Fam's classes anymore. So me had breakfast at McD in the morning with the guys during our Thinking Skills period.

YS made Paul angry today ^^"
Something interesting today (ok...it's not really something to shout about but hey, that's all the entertainment we get here besides cc =P). At the end of our Chemistry period, YS started writing stuff on the side whiteboard using Paul's marker. Ok, so he's bored but you'll be too if you're us ;). Nothing much he wrote, only until the "Shut up Paul" part haha. I tried to cover it with my bag when Paul turns around (he's sitting in front of us) but I thought what the heck and let him read it. Oh, what a big response we get ^^". Coz apparently Paul got really angry with Yih Seong for that (well, he's to blame coz he didn't even rub it off before we left the class ^^").

After that, Paul kept reeeaaally quiet. Now, THAT's strange =P. So I asked YS to apologize to him but he didn't want to coz he said it's weird apologizing to Paul. Lol...forgive me but I nearly laugh out coz I too felt it's juz not 'right' apologizing to Paul haha. Btw, it's juz a small matter anyway so we juz put it aside...

But all's well ends well. That night, YS apologized finally and Paul forgave him. Aww...we were hoping to see what will happen during the Lanjut trip lol =P. Both of them are supposed to be roommates so we're kind of expecting to see some 'action' haha. Ok, we're sorry to even think of that instead of trying to patch both of you up. But believe us, that thought (the patching up la) really did cross our minds...even if it's for less than a second only =P

DotA and more DotA
After college...wait, you know what the next phrase will be. Yeah, we went for DotA haha. Me, Chow, YS and Pat beat Jem, Hoi, Leong and Shan =). But I know, it's unbalanced...YS got Morphling and Pat got Sand King. What else do we need to win? =P. Oh yea...we need Chow ^^. Btw Paul didn't play with us...guess he's still angry with YS. Anyway we got an even number of players...

But we did something really bad juz to play. Actually Zi Yang had been wanting to play with us but somehow, we (note that i used 'we' ;) ) decided to leave him out of it (Jem said because YS and Paul didn't like to play with him... ^^" - I don’t really think so but, watever lah). We even waited an hour juz so that he'll leave our apartment before we go to cc (he had a date with his gf). What friends we are, eh? ^^"

At night, we went for another 2 rounds of DotA. Me, YS, Pat and Ashok against Jem, Hoi, Leong and Paul. We lost. Twice. End of story ;)

-2.49am, 26 December 2004-

Short update on some stuff...

Nothing much to note today...juz a short update on things around here..

Was supposed to play DotA with Chow and Zi Yang but we are too drained from yesterday's match against PM3 so no DotA. Paul tried to get us to play after lunch but our resolve is strong this time. So no DotA today ^^

Saw Ms Ho during dinner and she came to talk to us mainly bout our class trip. You see, we didn't want her to go along on the trip (for obvious reasons =P) but if we didn't ask her, and she got to know bout it (which she will, eventually), she'll merajuk again and we'll screw our A2. So we planned the trip from Friday to Sunday (we'll have to skip college on Friday ;) ) and hope she'll have reason she 'cannot' go along. But then she didn't give up...she even tried to get leave on that day but too bad, she didn't get it. So no Ms Ho on our trip =). Phew...

Another update on the class trip : Ian Zing's coming along with us. Well, I don't really mind if she comes or not...it's her choice if she wants to be left out of it...

Monday 22 November 2004

End of AS!! =)

Did Bio 2 yesterday. Went rather ok...but u'll never know. Btw Ian Zing said her mom doesn't let her to go along on the Lanjut trip. Said something bout worried for her safety coz there's so many boys and so few girls O.o. Hello? Are you saying we are sex maniacs or something? Not every guy is like Jem you know haha =P. Sigh...nvm then I guess. We can still go without her...

Then it's Bio 1 today in the morning. Ahh...the feel of freedom ^^. Have been suffering for a month now...we should be given a break. But Taylor’s doesn't think so =(. Instead, we are to start college again on Thursday and sit for the Semester 2 Exams in two weeks time. Sigh...back to the books I guess...not =P. Who are they to stop us from enjoying our freedom haha...

After the paper, the guys planned to go DotA. I didn't go along. Surprised? Haha you should be. Even I'm surprised ^^. But I've spent really damn lot on cc this year...so I'm cutting down now. Up to now, the total I've spent is around RM400+. Damn shit...I shouldn't be wasting my parents' money this way sigh. And so I didn't go DotA this round. Might as well let the others play for once...(our class had too many players to fit into one game anyway ^^"). Btw Yong Chen didn't go too...said he's afraid he didn't have time to pack up (he's leaving for home to make passport). Hah, that's wat he said. Coz after our lunch, he went to play one-on-one DotA with Jem. Haha seems like he couldn't run away from it...

PS – Haha I couldn't believe it. That night I went to play DotA! So much for not wanting to waste parents' money haha ^^". But I got an excuse =P. Coz PM3 challenges us to DotA. Actually, they had been wanting to play against us for a long time already and they thrashed our Team A a few weeks ago (i wasn't there that time...they played without me =( ). So here comes Team B to redeem ourselves haha (see that...I told you we had too many players ;) ). How can I refuse when duty calls...haha. But me, Jem, YS, Paul and Hoi still lost in the end =(. Well, at least we tried...

Sunday 21 November 2004

Wedding Lunch! Yum yum...

We were supposed to have breakfast with my uncle in the morning...but too bad, me and my bros couldn't wake up. Those late night (or was it early morning) of PS2 playing sure knocked us unconscious for very long. By the time we woke up, it's to get ready for my cousin's wedding reception at noon. It's held at Sheraton Subang, close to where I lived. Quite a coincidence...and it'll make it easier to get back to My Place too ^^. The food is ok...not to say superb but it's still good compared to what we normally eat in Subang. Heck, anything's good compared to that ;). But I love the red wine...couldn't stop myself from drinking it. Got another thing to admit...think it's my first time drinking red wine ^^". Juz managed to refill my glass a couple of times...those waiters are so inefficient haha =P

By 3.30pm I found myself back in My Place...straight after the wedding feast. Part of me's happy to be back again...part of me dreaded what I've to do once I got home. You see, those 3 days away aren't really productive in terms of Bio revision...so I got a lot to catch up now. Sigh...wish me luck ^^"

Congrats to my newlywed cousin, Angeline Woo and my cousin-in-law, Ah Dee! =)

Pre-wedding day
Our fridge's dead...

Traditional stuff...you know, groom fetch bride Me family came up today! And I get to play PS2 again! Haha =P. Shouldn't i be worried bout Bio? Hmm...well, that'll have to wait ;)

Nothing much happen today...well, for me at least. In the afternoon we went to the bride's house to watch the groom trying to 'steal' the bride from her house. I gotta say, this is the first wedding in my family i've ever witnessed ^^. So you know, we gotta check it out even though I rather stay at home and play PS2 =P. Anyway, it's the usual stuff we see on TV. First the groom arrives. Then all the girls 'guarding' the bride asked him to do all sort of stuff besides the usual demand for a big ang pow. After a very very long time, it juz takes a really big guy (the groom's 'best man'...sort of) to pave the way through the girls straight to the bridal room. The lesson of the day? Get someone really big to go with you to 'fetch' your bride. It makes things a lot faster...and easier too ;)

The rest of the day is pretty much boring. After the tea serving to everyone older than the couple that's within grabbing range, the groom ran away with the bride back to his home in Karak (for some more tea serving i guess). Didn't follow the convoy coz it takes too long to travel there so my whole family juz stay at our Klang home instead. Wanted to study for Bio actually but with the PS2 around, it's kinda hard...

Our fridge's dead...
That night, Jem SMSed me to tell me the fridge is unusable anymore. To cut things short, Pat tried to break the ice that's forming non-stop around the freezer area (til the whole thing's covered with ice). Thing is, he used a balisong (a kind of foldable knife) to do the job. And he poked the side wall of the fridge, causing a gas leak. So in the end, the standard of living in 121D juz dropped a notch. And Pat claimed he did all this 'for the greater good'. I wonder how living without a fridge is considered 'good'...

PS - One of my muffins was drowned coz the leftover ice melted and dripped all over it...so much for the greater good...

Skipped Bio extra class
My cousin's pre-wedding dinner buffet

There was supposed to be a Bio extra class this morning but tell me, who wants to spend 2 hours together with Ms Ho? =P. Anyway, I haven't even revise Bio yet so what difference does it make if I went for the 'extra class'. Sigh...maybe I should have started studying earlier? Bah what a thought =P. So in the end, with more or less the same reason, none of us (and I mean none of us from the whole PM1) went for it. Btw Tze Chow called me in the morning (and disturb me in badly needed sleep >=( haha) to ask whether we are going. Apparently he saw no one there in college hehe. He should have known better ;)

Shan came in the morning and kidnapped Ashok to Warnet ^^". Hehe...AS's over for Ashok anyway. Lucky fellar. He dropped Bio after Semester 1 so that means he'll be free till our Semester 2 Exams. Come to think of it, that isn’t very far away...Oh yea, Leong will be enjoying his freedom from today onwards too since he don't take Bio. Sigh...and we have to suffer another week...

On a different note, my cousin's getting married this weekend! Which means free meals for the next 3 days at least! =P. Before dinnertime, my second aunt came to pick me up to my cousin's house in Klang for a pre-wedding-day dinner buffet (is there such tradition? but since there's free food so it doesn't matter anyway =P). I know I'm being ungrateful to say this, but Rafi's food taste much nicer than that haha =P. The whole dinner buffet thingy finished at 12.30am...and I fell asleep soon after coz all that eating made me feel so tired ^^"

PS – Oh yea, I was supposed to start and finish studying Bio during this weekend...looks like there’ll b a drastic change of plans...^^"

Funny...for a moment i thought i was looking back in time at myself...
Extra Note – During the dinner buffet, I noticed someone rather interesting. It’s a child, around 5 years old I think. The thing is, he reminded me so much of myself, in every way. As most of you know, I wasn’t born the way people see as ‘normal’. My right eyelid is partially paralysed, causing me to unable to open it more than half. That little boy I see is suffering from the same thing, except that it’s his left eye. Strange, isn’t it…to see someone so like yourself. He’s very apprehensive when it comes to strangers too, juz like me last time. My uncle tried to cuddle him but he juz ran away and gave a I-don’t-want-you-near-me look. Sigh…somehow, while looking at him, I felt like I was looking at myself, albeit minus a decade or so. So cute, so innocent…and so not deserved to go through what he’ll go through in life later, juz becoz he’s different. Maybe I was juz thinking back on what I’ve gone through…but I’ve survived that period with the companionship of my friends. Deep down inside, I juz wish he’s able to enjoy the same fortune I had, if not better. I know I had said this a lot of times before but I’m still gonna say it again. Thanx everyone for being there for me, juz when I needed you all the most. Thanx.

AS Update – Physics Paper 1
'The Incredibles'

Movie after Physics 1...
Funny, isn't it? Here we are in the middle of our finals and we are even more relaxed than ever ^^".Right after our Physics 1 at 9am, me, Jem, Ashok, Shan and Leong went to watch 'The Incredibles' at Pyramid. But it's a nice movie I must admit. Damn funny too...especially the Elastigirl stretching part lol. Sigh...i guess exams is not a good enough reason to miss that movie =P

...and DotA at nite
That very night, we went DotA again. This time, we called Zi Yang along (he's been dying to go hehe). But the next paper won't be until next week so it's 'excusable' haha =P. What the hell am I talking about? ^^"

AS Update – Chemistry Paper 1, Physics Paper 2

DotA after Chem 1
Chemistry 1 at 9am yesterday. Woke up at 7am juz to study for it. Yea...I'm that worried bout chemistry. Especially since it'll be the one that'll bring me down (well, chemistry has been my worst subject I guess). But I think I did rather ok this time. After all the suffering I went through because of it, I better get good results for it...

After the paper, me had lunch with classmates. And now I think wat a bad idea it is to have lunch with them haha =P. Before we even finish our lunch, Paul asked whether we want to go for DotA afterwards (his other friends are going, so...). What a question to ask...the answer is already out there before anyone can say anything ;). So before long, we find ourselves inside Warnet again. Sigh...the exams ain’t over yet guys...

Back in 121D =(

End of vacation...=
Returned to 121D finally. Did nothing much in Port Dickson...but that's the plan, init ;). My younger bro brought his newly bought PS2 up so we ended up playing PS2 the whole time there =P. Didn't even have time to go to the beach...(actually they did go to the beach but I was KOed then ^^"). Ironic, ain't it? Going to the beach but didn't really go to the beach =P. Actually, the trip was until Saturday only but I went to Klang with my family after that. Wanted to come back to study yesterday but my dad asked me to stay another day in Klang...oh well. Study will have to wait then...

They went cc without me...*sob sob*
From what I heard, ALL of them went cc during my absence sigh >=( haha (Jem came back yesterday and Leong this morning). Ashok even played every single day O.o. Heard they went against the Sarawakians, PM3, and some other teams I don't really recall. Kinda make me glad I went on vacation ^^...somehow I don't feel like playing DotA so much anymore. Maybe it's juz the exams blues getting to me...

-2.05am, 16 December 2004-
Heard Pat's Juggernaught was pawned like there's no tomorrow haha...maybe it'll be the end of him (Juggernaught of course ;) )

AS Update - Physics Paper 1
Off on family vacation in PD

Physics 1 in the morning. Planned to wake up early to at least do some of the stacks of dusty past year papers that's still left untouched on my study table since Mr Selva gave them months ago. Too bad I can’t get out of bed...sigh. But fortunately the paper went rather ok...at least I finished just in time ^^. Keeping fingers crossed...

After the paper I rushed home to pack my stuff to escape from this hell hole =P. Months with these guys can drive anyone mad...really ;). If there's a study on how stress affects someone, 121D will be the best place. When not studying frantically for the next day's paper (emphasis on 'next day' ;) ...we juz love last minute revisions, don't we?), we'll juz sit around the table blankly. If you wait long enough, you may actually catch glimpses of Yih Seong’s spontaneous bursts of unexplainable acts or Leong's hidden destructive nature. Sometimes I don’t feel safe living with them haha =P...especially during this time of the year. They all look really stressed out...

Actually my second aunt's coming to fetch me to Port Dickson for a family vacation this weekend. Since a few years ago, this has become our family's annual activity me thinks. We'll drive to one of the beach-side bungalows provided by my aunt's company and juz relax. Just what I need at the moment...relaxation ;). And no food problems for three days!

Btw Jem and Leong went back too. That's 3 DotA players less hehe. Wonder if they'll go cc without us...(this is a rhetorical question of course =P)

-1.52am, 16 December 2004-
Off to Port Dickson to de-stress! =)

Tuesday 9 November 2004

2 birthday boys in my list =)

Nothing much for today...juz more DotA talk and no DotA action ^^. So I went to the library to escape from all that so I can try to study in peace. Didn’t achieve much however...

Apart from that, today is the birthday of 2 of my friends! One Johorian and another from Klang ^^. Here’s some info bout them...

First off, it’s Eric, my old friend. Knew him since primary school and I’m pretty sure he didn’t change much. Still the same old loud fellar we know =P. Some say you can hear him from a block away...some even claim you’ll be deaf if you sit next to him in a cc haha (I can vouch for that =P). He used to be the one who call us out for cc back in those days when cc is like once in 4 months (how I miss those days...not =P). Think he's the one who introduced us to the wonderful and exciting world of cc ^^. Don’t know if I should thank him or hate him for that =P. Eric’s a real gamer I guess (or so say some of his friends ;) ) ...he plays virtually every PS2 and computer game. Besides that, he's really loud. Oops...I said that didn't I haha =P. Happy birthday all the way to Singapore!

The other birthday boy is Afree Low, who used to be one of my 'lovers' haha. Well, at the beginning of this year I thought Afree was a malay name ^^. Couldn’t blame me right...this is the first time I heard anyone called Afree. Neway, Afree is this guy sitting behind me most of the time during class. Very sociable and friendly guy...if I remember correctly he's the first guy who spoke to me in class (besides the other Johorians of course). Sometimes weird stuff comes out from his mouth too =P...there was a time he keeps telling me I’m cute (*shudder* haha) but thank god he stopped that a few months back. Then once he told us Anne's hands looks 'delicious' (he told her too but she's cool bout it hehe). Erm...wonder what that means haha ^^". Btw for your info, this guy organised our class trip this time. Can never thank him enough for all those trouble he went through...he looks really stressed out because of it. Who wouldn't...with all those questions we keep asking him bout the trip ^^". AND he had to plan it during AS exams...Neway here's happy birthday wishes to him and a million thanks for organising the class trip =) (it couldn’t have come at a better time...;) )

-2.03am, 14 December 2004-
Hey sorry these birthday wishes came so late...

Monday 8 November 2004

Irwin left...
...Jem went cc...
...and Paul made an enemy

Irwin has left the building, I repeat, Irwin has left the building...
Irwin left 121D in the morning before I wake up. Didn't even manage to bid goodbye to him…maybe I woke up too late =P. But Ashok and Jem are worse off...they were still unconscious when I woke up at 1.30pm sigh haha. Ended up postponing our lunch even later than usual. Think we shouldn't have go cc till so late at night again...(but it won't be the last time I'm sure ^^")

Free CC for Jem (sounds like a dream huh? someone else paying for you to enjoy hehe ;) )
Anyway, during lunch Hoi asked Jem out for cc and said he'll pay for him (coz Jem told him he already spent a lot in cc yesterday). Apparently his older bro's back from Australia and wanted to go play DotA but they lack 1 player so it's Jem to their rescue ^^". Didn't go along coz I'm in financial crisis too...all DotA’s fault sigh =P

Paul made an enemy?!
That night, Yih Seong came home with 'shocking' news (he went to the classroom to study every night...with someone else of course ;) ). According to him, someone poured some white stuff (think it's liquid paper) on the mirror in the top floor's toilet. Nothing much, except the letters scrawled onto it are very interesting. On it, the words "Paul Kong sux" can be seen. Well well, looks like our friend had offended someone lately ^^". Or maybe it's juz someone with a bad sense of humour...

-1.42am, 13 December 2004-
Don't worry Paul, we'll help you find the culprit ;). In Pat's words, 'we'll hunt him down like a sick animal...'

AS Update - Chemistry Paper 2
Irwin's Brief Visit to 121D

Irwin's Brief Visit to 121D
Woke up at 8am to find Irwin in our apartment. That's not a surprise actually...he told us he’ll be visiting us about a week ago. Said he wanna check on us ^^". Must be wanna see how sad our apartment really is hehe. (Actually he's coming to KL for some business and decided to drop by before visiting his Limkokwing friends). Luckily we have an empty bed...

Chemistry Paper 2 in the afternoon...not too bad I guess. Had been studying really hard for Chem. Juz glad it's over and done with ^^. After that, the 7 of us, Shan and Paul accompany Irwin to his maiden DotA match (what else can you do here?? =P).

That night Irwin wanna go check out Doom 3 so we go with him to Warnet again. Played some DotA while we were there...but Irwin doesn't seem to like it (he keeps getting pawned although his side was winning ^^". Jem said he spent more time waiting to revive than actually playing...can’t blame him though - he has never really play Warcraft before). Oh well, DotA's not for everyone I guess...but he’s the first guy I know who doesn’t like DotA ;).

AS Update - Physics Paper 3
Pat's debut DotA match ^^

Early today...
1.30am today I woke up hearing really loud commotion outside. Realise it's juz Pat talking bout DotA with Ashok and Jem so I went back to sleep. Looks like he can't wait for his first DotA match haha. (Heard they went to Melur but it's closed O.o. Pat ended up eating a burger, a bowl of maggi and koko krunch. Someone's been scrimping for cc I see haha =P). Then I woke up again at 3am, very hungry. 4am went out to scavenge for food and found some bread. Then I dropped the butter knife and it clanged the floor so hard I'm sure someone will notice. Apparently Pat heard it and thought some intruder's in our apartment but he didn't check it out. Said he's getting ready to whack the 'intruder' edi...thank god he didn’t come out ^^".

AS Update : Physics Paper 3 - Practical
Physics practical. A case of too much to do, too little time. No surprises... oscillations, oscillations and more oscillations. Think it's in the syllabus that we must learn how to count ^^". Anyway, barely manage to finish the questions coz i spend too much time finding the period for the oscillations...and i didn't even have any idea how to do the last question. Keep getting a negative value for how long must the support be O.o. Think I'll juz have to cover for it with the other 2 papers. Sigh...

After the paper, we went for DotA session with our other classmates as planned. Paul had a futsal match so he couldn't make it (we heard it from his conversation with Alvin while playing badminton the other day. No, we aren't eavesdropping...when Paul's talking to someone 3 floors upstairs, we couldn't help but hear it right? =P). Me, Ashok, Leong, Yong Chen and Zi Yang lost to Hoi, Shan, Chow, Jem and Pat. At least Pat won his first match...No more mercy for him after this =P

AS Update - Math Paper 6

AS Update – Mathematics Paper 6
Math Paper 6 today. Last night’s frenzy Statistics studying should do the job...it MUST do the job ^^". Actually I’m not very worried bout Statistics...it's one of the only papers I’m really confident of ;). Still, I made a few careless mistakes but to hell with that =P. I got much more important things to worry about...

That night, we discussed bout DotA again (yea yea we have no life but hey, DotA IS our life! =P). We planned to play DotA after our Physics practical tomorrow (coz after that the next paper will be one week away) but then the Sarawakians wanna pawn us again. Then NEWSFLASH : Pat's gonna play his debut DotA match tomorrow! Hehe...seems like he's no longer in financial crisis (either that or he can't stand us talking bout DotA in front of him everyday while he sits there looking blur =P). As this will be Pat's first game, we decided to let him enjoy it (before pawning his ass =P) so the match with the Sarawakians was cancelled (actually it’s just postponed...^^")

-3.09am, 12 December 2004-
Pudge : Hmm...more fresh meat? Hmm...

Sunday 31 October 2004

DotA training ^^"

121D DotA training session =P
You know, things are heading in the wrong direction when it comes to this. We actually go for DotA training today O.o haha

Anyway, after the thrashing we get from the Sarawakians, we don’t look forward to playing with them again =P. So we went for a ‘private’ DotA session ^^" (we wanted to ask you along Paul but you had futsal that morning...believe us). First we went to Gamesworld for our 'training' but the coms hanged twice. Then we changed to Warnet for the rest of our training...

That night, i tried to study Chem for the AS exams but you know, the guys juz can't stop talking. AND Paul came up too. That makes studying almost impossible with so many guys talking around you ^^". Sigh...in the end only manage to finish Chapter 3. Have to work harder than this...

-3.03am, 12 December 2004-
Sorry for the delay..updates will be up real soon k...

Friday 29 October 2004

AS Update - Thinking Skills over for good
Movies after exams
Match-up against Sarawakians

Since that i'm rather backwards in this blog, i'll just post three days' entries at one go ;)

25th October 2004
AS Update : Thinking Skills Paper 1
Did AL-TKS Paper 1 today. Wasn't unexpected...the questions kinda have a way to answer them. Guess flipping thru Mrs. Fam's sad-excuse-for-notes does help after all. Actually she isn't that bad a lecturer...she's juz boring =P. Juz hope that i didn't screw up my Thinking Skills this time like i did for AS trials (keeping my fingers crossed here...)

'The Terminal'
After Thinking Skills today, me, Jem, Ashok, Yong Chen (surprise, surprise haha), Leong and Sanmugam went to watch 'The Terminal' at Pyramid. Well, what can i say...this gotta be the best non-action movie i have watched this year (wait...think that's the ONLY non-action movie i've watched...oh well). It's kind of interesting watching how Navorski scrape a living there (i didn't know you could afford to eat at Burger King just by pushing back the carts...) though some parts of the movie are rather impossible in real life (building a fountain out of pieces of glass? Come on...). Don't know where i hear this from but i heard it's based on a real story O.o. Me never thought it's possible to live in an airport...but then again, if we could live in 121D, anywhere's possible rite ;)

That night, 6 of us (Pat's still in financial crisis) went cc with Paul and Alvin (one of Paul's Sarawakian apartmentmates) from 12.30am to 2.30am. We must be crazy...help us please...

27th October 2004
First match-up between Johorians and Sarawakians ;)
10.30pm. Me, Jem, Ashok, Yong Chen and Leong vs Paul, John, Tiong, Alvin and Yih Seong (we got too many players and they lack 1 player so Yih Seong went over). And we get to know how DotA pros play DotA. From the beginning till the end, we obviously had no chance. But that's not surprising, given that they went cc almost everyday (where the hell you get so much money from...). Guess practice does make perfect after all...

29th October 2004
AS Update : Thinking Skills Paper 2
Now for the much dreaded AL-TKS Paper 2...when there's never enough time to write (or should i say think?). Shouldn't they give us more time? Do they really expect us to evaluate evidence, answer a comprehension passage and evaluate an argument in 2 hours? Neway, looks like we'll have to make do then...which ended up with our answers making no more sense than Yih Seong's cock haha =P (not THAT one...please). I don't think i did well in this paper...let's just hope Paper 1 covers it =\

'Taxi'
Me, Ashok, Jem and Paul went to Pyramid again. Actually, Jem and Paul's there to celebrate a church friend, Jason's birthday. After the birthday 'party' they are supposed to watch 'White Chicks', which Jem and Paul watched before. So they ask us to catch another movie with them since they're already there. At first we wanted to watch 'Ladder 49' but we couldn't get the tickets so we settled for 'Taxi'. Too bad for Ashok...he just went to watch 'Taxi' with Sanmugam right after Thinking Skills Paper 2 and now he's watching it again (sorry la...should have just ask you to buy the tickets while you're there...). As for the movie, it's funny sometimes but i don't think it's memorable. But Jem must have love it...especially the bank robbers changing clothes scene and the frisking scene haha. Control yourself Jem...=P

Second match-up : Johorians vs Sarawakians
Went for another round with the Sarawakians again tonight. At first we couldn't find any cc empty enough for 10 of us. In the end, Paul had to halau his friends out of cc just for us to play O.o (aren't we desperate... but then they've been there for a few hours already...be considerate a bit la =P). That's one of the benefits having a friend who knows half the college ;). Anyway, this time Alvin couldn't make it (apparently his girlfriend woke up when he tried to sneak out haha) so Kok (LAN girl's* 'godbrother'...we thought it was her rooster ^^") took his place. As expected, we got ass-whooped again. So bad. So very bad that we couldn't take it anymore and decided to hold a secret training session O.o (this is pure madness...)

-1.06pm, 10 November 2004-
No more thinking to do! 8 more papers and still counting down...

Sunday 24 October 2004

In between exams...
The pigeon we called 'Chicken'
Man U 2 - 0 Arsenal

In between exams...
Woke up at around 2.45pm. Been sleeping late (like, around 3-4am =P) for the past whole week...and as a result, breakfast became a rare occasion for most of us (even rarer than seeing Yong Chen at home =P). On those days between exams when we have no plans at all for the whole day, we’ll usually wake up at bout 2.30pm and have lunch half an hour later (coz Ashok needs half an hour to 'get ready' ^^"). What do we do everyday till so late at night? Seriously, I don’t know...mostly us sitting around the table talking cock and more cock (you'll be surprised how one topic can lead to another topic that has nothing to do with the first one at all ;) ) till someone couldn’t take it anymore and seek refuge in slumberland ^^. There's even a few times we made it past 5am ;). Yea, we're crazy...but it's not like we can help it =P

Oh yea...by we i meant me, Jem and Ashok only ;). The others had 'obligations' so couldn't enjoy waking up late like we do =P (but sometimes one or two of them will join or cock-talking session ^^)

The return of Bob Cup into our lives ^^
After lunch with Ashok and Yong Chen (Jem had an 'emergency' MSN meeting...so important he’ll skip lunch just for it haha =P), me, Ashok, Jem and Yong Chen decided to go ‘bobbing’ (the term for playing badminton) again! It's like months since we last played and we have nothing to do anyway so I suggested we do something. Actually, we wanted to play a few weeks back but the lights aren't on (the guards said the lights are spoiled...). So desperate we got that there was once that we even played in the dark O_o (we normally play at night coz there’ll be no wind...unlike in the evening). Think the Bob Cup spirit’s back in us again ^^

Btw on the way to the badminton court (which is juz about a hundred metres away from our block), we found an injured pigeon in the drain (it didn’t fly away when we came near...isn’t that an obvious sign). We figure that if it stays there it'll be killed by the many cats in My Place. So we thought that carrying it out and onto the ground will give it some chance to run away (ok, so we were wrong...). Ashok tried to carry it out of the drain using badminton racquets but I don’t think the pigeon likes it ^^". We juz stood there looking at Ashok doing his best then I thought what the heck are we doing and juz crouched down and used my bare hands to carry the pigeon out onto the ground (which turned out to cause its death - Jem said a kitten bit it to death when he check on it afterwards ^^". I was just trying to be kind...really...).

Seeing the injured pigeon reminds me again of an incident some months ago. You see, one day long ago, when 7 of us still go for lunch together (THAT's very very long ago ^^), we came back to see a pigeon in our balcony. After failing to drive it away, we figured out it’s injured (either that or it's one dumb bird - it should know better than to come to 121D =P). So after discussing what to do with it, we decided let it stay in our balcony and affectionately called it ‘Chicken’ (based on a really funny incident way back during secondary school; hint : Ashok haha =P). We put out a big cardboard box for it to live in (well, that’s the best we can do ^^"), gave it some food and what did we get? It shitted in our balcony. Jem even stepped on one of its 'offerings' and got so mad that he threw his socks at it and killed it (haha…at least that’s what we thought was its cause of death =P). And it didn't eat the food we thrown at it...maybe it doesn't like biscuits?

The next day when we came back from college, Chicken was still there. The only difference was that it’s lying down now. Apparently sometime during our time in college, it died, leaving a clue to its sudden death : shit. Lots of them. All over our balcony. That’s why we think Jem’s socks killed it haha =P. Even though Chicken had been with us only for a day, we are sad it died...really. So sad that Yih Seong even written a song for it haha (it's recorded on Pat's phone ;) ) :

'Chicken'
Chicken...
Why'd you have to go...
Chicken...
Your pain we didn’t know...

You came into, our balcony,
We gave you food, you didn’t eat

Chicken...
Why'd you have to go...
Chicken...
Your pain we didn’t know...

This is only a part of the whole song. If you like this song and would like to know more info about the song, please feel free to contact any member of 121D. Free delivery for anywhere within 10m of 121D. For ordering, please call Wong Yih Seong. Satisfaction guaranteed ;)

Actually i forgot the rest of the lyrics already ^^". Yih Seong wrote the whole song but only the above mentioned part is recorded. Too bad then...it's really funny (typical work of Yih Seong ;) ). (Wonder if any of you still remember the whole lyrics? Please post it in the comments k?)

Man U 2 - 0 Arsenal
First of all, i have to admit i'm not an avid fan of football though i still follow up on EPL a bit (and even less of the Spanish league). And no, i don't support Man U nor Arsenal ;). So who do i support? Well, here's a clue. This club's stadium is located in the same vicinity as a Division Three club. And i support both these clubs ;). Post the answer in the comments if you know...but i doubt it =P.

Anyway back to today. Today's the match between Man U and Arsenal. So Yih Seong gathered (or tried to...at least) some budaks to go watch it at either a mamak restaurant (and risk having to resort to using binoculars to watch the match) or Hoi's house (coz he got Astro). Obviously, we invited ourselves to Hoi's place (though Yih Seong 'tried' not to make us sound like we're inviting ourselves ^^"). Me, Yih Seong, Jeremy, Ashok, Leong and Yong Chen left home at 11.10pm (the match was supposed to start at 11pm). At first Yong Chen couldn't decide whether he wants to go or not until Jem called him serabai O_o (i think Jem's fed up with his hesitation ^^") and Yong Chen juz follow us quietly after that (are you angry with Jem at that time? Coz you kept really quiet during the walk...). But then just as we reach his place, Hoi called to tell us he'll be late and only came back 20 minutes later ^^". Later we found out that he went for a birthday dinner party for his grandma...oops ^^". Then his mother served us HIS birthday cake. Apparently they celebrate his birthday and his grandma's together. Double oops ^^".

As for the match, it was entertaining...seeing how 'fair' they played it ;). Now, i don't have anything against Man U but during that match they are really rough and even resorted to playing dirty at some point (Ferdinand should be sent off for that...). If you ask me yesterday if i hope Arsenal lose, i'll say yes (their unbeaten run got a bit too long =P) but after this match...i think Man U doesn't deserve to be one winning. But then again, this is football. Man U played good football (the second goal was really nice), they won and that's all that matters ain't it. Well, congrats to them =) (no...i'm not being sarcastic...not that it'll matter anyway)

Happy really-really-belated to Wen Hoi on his 18th birthday on 17th October! Thanx for the hospitality ;)

AS Update - 2 more papers down! =)

AS Update : Math Paper 1 (20 October 2004)
Math paper 1 wasn't really hard...kinda what i was expecting it to be. After a few hours of flipping thru every single past year paper we had done the day before, it shouldn't be a problem. Wanted to finish off a few halfway done papers but juz got too lazy to do so. Now that those paper are useless now, wonder what i should do with them...

Btw we had our breakfast at last...after last Friday's failed plan. Managed to get Paul, Jem, Ashok, Yong Chen, Wilson, Zi Yand, Afree, Anne and Wen Ying to go for breackfast at McD's. Surprisingly we woke up for it after all...(though i still had to wake the others up...sigh ^^)

AS Update : Bio Paper 3 - Practical (21 October 2004)
Bio paper 3...i must admit i took it rather lightly. Not that it really helps if i read the whole sky-scraping stack of papers Ms Ho shoved to us during the last few days of college before AS. So why should i bother? =P Juz read through the food tests, the plant and animal cell slides, and her really really short notes on Bio practical (which in the end, was of no use anyway...). Like Chemistry, there were tips for Bio 3 too (seems like there'll always be tips eh) so it wasn't really a problem to most of us. Except the question on frog RBC. I mean, we were supposed to know frog RBC has nucleus? That wasn't even in our syllabus...so why will we bother to find out? =P. Somehow, the other shifts after us got to know the answers to the questions beforehand so i think they'll get full or near full marks for Bio Paper 3. Sigh...life juz ain't fair at times, isn't it? Well, live with it ;)

'White Chicks' at Hoi's place
Went for another de-stressing round of cc at Warnet after lunch while waiting for Hoi to come back from his tuition so we can go to his house to watch some DVDs. At first, we planned to watch The Terminal but Paul's DVD was with his sister. Then we wanted to watch Shark Tale (i think...maybe not) but Hoi doesn't have the DVD. So in the end we have to settle for White Chicks. Which isn't that bad after all hehe. Actually i had wanted to watch that quite some time ago...so now i have saved 7 bucks! =). Back to the movie...it's rather funny at times. Like the part where they go shopping (where one of the white 'chicks' have to wear extra tight-fitting clothes hehe). Yih Seong's favourite was the scene where Buff daddy (or Schwarzenegro) started dancing half-naked with a whistle in his mouth O_o haha...apparently Yih Seong couldn't forget that scene ^^".

Am i seeing a new addiction or wat...
After dinner, me, Paul, Leong, Ashok, Jem, Yong Chen and Yih Seong went cc (again...). Played DotA (a Warcraft map) which isn't exactly new to us...played it a few times a while back. Seems like everyone 'enjoyed' it...except Jem who still couldn't grasp the way to play it hehe. Think DotA will be the map we play for the next few weeks...at least ;)

Short update on Lanjut trip

Juz a short blog entry...
Math extra class again today from 8am to 10am. Had breakfast at Melur with half the class after that. Jem and Paul tried to get some of us into cc but too bad, none of us felt like going at that time ^^". After our breakfast, me, Jem and Ashok went to Paul's place to lepak (Jernihs (derived from their company, Kemas Jernih), the cleaning aunties were in our apartment at that time so we didn't want to go back). Played some Marvel vs. Capcom on PS (Jem still hasn't lose his touch...sigh) and some King of Fighters then we went back. Actually, Yong Chen already got his parents' permission to bring up his PS2 ^^. So after AS, we can cut down on cc for once ;)

Update on Lanjut trip
That night, Yih Seong told us the news that Ms Ho most probably can't make it for our Lanjut trip ^^. Apparently, she said it would be very hard to get the day off. Said something bout feeling sad she couldn't make it to our class trip (she's going for her other classes' trips). Oh well... =P

On the other hand, Mr Chan also couldn't make it for our trip. That means we won't be having any 'adults' around to settle the bills and stuff. I don't think that would matter much anyway...but there won't be any restrictions now hehe ;)

Failed breakfast plan before Math extra class
Aparment issue solved
Exorcist : The Beginning
Castleeee : The End

Failed breakfast plan before Math extra class =(
We were supposed to have breakfast before Math extra class today (Ms Ching had to go to Penang last Monday to Wednesday). Yesterday evening, me, Paul, Chow and Wilson were chatting on MSN when someone (i forgot who...sorry ^^") suggested we go for breakfast the next morning. However, before anyone could reply, me and Paul’s coms crashed (Paul claimed it was his message of "Breakfast, Math then cc" that caused it...apparently the library coms don’t like us to go cc =P). Anyway, me and Paul tried to salvage the plan but we couldn’t contact Chow so we just left him an SMS. Nothing would have work out anyway coz the next morning, MOST of us woke up late; Math class was supposed to start at 8am but that’s when we just woke up ^^" (Yih Seong went in at 8, Jem at 8.10, me at 8.15, and Ashok at 8.30am. Thankfully, Ms Ching was in a good mood that day – we think that she’s happy that anyone came at all ^^). Think we slept too late last night hehe...talked cock till 1.50am while waiting for Paul to come back from cc and ‘pick’ up his stuff (he came up at 1am at last...haha nolah, we weren't waiting for you...dun so perasan =P).

Apartment issue solved at last...
After math class, me, Jem, Ashok, Yong Chen and Yih Seong went to the Accommodation Office to sign the tenancy renewal agreement. Yesterday, Yih Seong called for a meeting to discuss the situation (with the rare honoured presence of Yong Chen =P). Before we even start discussing, me, Yong Chen, Leong, Ashok and Jem unanimously voted to stay. Leong couldn’t bear to part with the ‘nice’ view our apartment had, Ashok was skeptical bout the 90% confirmed alternative apartment, and the rest of us are just too lazy to move ^^". As for me, I rather stay in the same place coz I felt kind of attached to it...though it’s dusty, dirty and messy (except on Monday from 10am to 3pm ;) ) and it’s barely suitable for living...but see it this way, we’ve survived for 9 months, wat’s another 9? (wait...maybe i’m too optimistic bout this haha =P). Anyway, I think we rather stay there coz it’s rather troublesome to rent a private-owned apartment - someone has to be the main tenant (and be responsible in case one of us run away, the apartment collapse, or any other reason Yih Seong could come up with just to escape being the main tenant haha =P). So yea, we surrender to Taylor's and agreed on the 50 bucks increase in rent...sigh...

Just when we thought the apartment issue is over, halfway during the movie (see below), Pat told Yih Seong that they are going to convert the middle room into a single-room (which means someone has to move out and the remaining guy has to pay RM500 for the room O_o). Apparently, the guy ‘forgot’ to tell us that when we signed the agreement earlier. So after the movie, we went straight back to the Accommodation Office, buat kecoh a bit, and they gave in and let us stay together as 7 =).

Exorcist : The Beginning
Yesterday (seems like everything was planned yesterday ^^) we planned to catch a movie after Math class (i think it's because Leong's class are going so we decided to go too). As Yih Seong wanted to watch Exorcist so much, we decided to be good friends for once and accompany him =P. But somehow during breakfast at McD’s with our classmates, one by one the others start to lose interest and back out. So in the end, only me, Yih Seong, Zi Yang, Sanmugam, Ashok and Paul (he had a change of mind in the last minute) went to watch. All in all, the movie wasn’t scary at all (though a little bit gory)...but some scenes really do tickle us so much we laughed out loud haha (especially Pazuzu’s (the demon) 100m sprint at the end of the movie...lol). Yih Seong claimed Paul was terrified during the movie but Paul said it wasn't scary O_o. Wonder who to believe eh?

Castleeee : The End
At around 12am midnight, all of a sudden, somehow, Yih Seong felt like going for another round of 'castle' to prove that he’s not jinxed (every time he played, we never got past the final wave). After 'much' persuasion, me, Pat, Leong, Yong Chen, and Ashok gave him a last chance to prove himself. Little did we know, tonight will be the last time we ever played ‘castle’ again (ok...so ‘last’ is a word too strong to be used =P). After 2 and a half hours, 5 of us (or maybe it's juz me =P...the others were busy 'exploring') managed to kill the much-dreaded and much-hated 'Arthas' (or asshole Arthas or fucker Arthas or whatever cuss they came up with as a result of losing to him so many many times) and finished 'castle' for the first time (and the last for 'some' of us ;) ). During our usual hours of 'assessment' of the game at home, we found out the reason that we never won 'castle' was not Yih Seong all along...but a totally different person : Jem! Haha =P (well, it's because everytime we went for 'castle', Jem’s surely in...except this time ;) - he went back to JB hehe). 18 days...that's how long we take to finish castle...wonder how long the other maps will take? =P

Finished 'castleeee' at last...what's next? =P

AS Update - First paper down!
Update on class trip to Lanjut
De-stressing at Warnet

AS Update : Chemistry Paper 3 - Practical

As of today, the much anticipated and dreaded exams of the year officially starts. First paper was Chemistry practical, which was rather ok it seems (mainly because we got tips beforehand ;P). The usual titrations and QA (qualitative analysis) ...nothing seriously hard bout it. We've been doing it for a whole year, for god's sake...But still, some of us did fumbled during the practical hehe ;). I spilled some solution when filling up the burette (which ended up causing my readings to be far from each other - but i make do ;) ), Yih Seong spilled a whole flask of solution onto his paper (haha...), Jeremy's calculator failed him halfway through...nearly made him panicked haha, Yih Seong forgot to bring his calculator AND his spare calculator, and the list goes on...

Either we invite her and have our class trip ruined, or not invite her and have our A2 ruined. Decisions decisions...

During our quarantine after Chem practical (we were in the first shift), discussions went on bout the Lanjut trip again. Transport, activities, price, and then Ms Ho. This is the issue at hand : Our class does not want Ms Ho to join the trip, but if we didn't invite her and she finds out (she WILL find out bout it...), we'll have a real hard 6 months next year. But then if we invite her along, we will suffer at her hands and risk having our class trip ruined. After more than an hour on discussing bout Ms Ho alone, we still couldn't figure out any way which will make both us and Ms Ho happy. So in the end we just decided to invite her and hope she cannot come (we'll leave on a schooling day). And we invited Mr Chan and his family along too, just to make it a bit better if Ms Ho decided to join us =P (hehe actually it's because Yih Seong said it'll be much easier with an adult around to settle the payments and stuff..)

That night, Ms Ho asked Denise bout our class trip. Seems like nothing escapes her eh? Sigh...and she seems really eager to join us on the trip (she even wanted to take leave on that day just so that she can go with us...). Looks like Anne's sixth sense didn't work this time haha...then again, it never works =P

AS just started, but...

I swear we are hopeless now. I swear we can't live without cc. I swear our AS gonna be screwed if we go on like this...sigh ^^"

Right after our lunch after our quarantine after our Chem practical, we felt the urge to go cc again...to relieve stress apparently (hey come on, we only finished 1 paper!). Anyway, me, Chow, Hoi, Pat, Jem, Ashok, Paul, Zi Yang and Sanmugam went to Warnet as Silver Surfer (our fav hangout place =P) was full. We even agreed to play in the smoking zone as the only coms free are inside ^^" (Paul reasoned that no one smokes in there anyway...so oh well...). Some of us (especially Pat) wanted to play 'castle' initially but we got too many players so we played some other maps. Played from 1pm to 3pm then Pat, Hoi, Chow and Zi Yang left but the rest of us held on ^^". Five of us played Warcraft, before me, Paul and Jem tried the Doom 3 multiplayer - where they quit halfway because they claimed that i killed them too much haha =P. Just before we left, me and Paul tried Unreal Tournament (though there was some problems with the CD-key but we just played on for like 20 minutes). Seems like he love UT2004 so much hehe...

The End of AL-TKS
Lanjut trip over Lunch at Kim Gary
Update on apartment crisis

Last day of Thinking Skills! Rejoice!
As of today, we are officially free from Mrs Fam's Thinking Skills classes! =). Today was the last day we'll ever attend another Thinking Skills class, so amazingly most of us actually paid attention to Mrs Fam (except those hardcore sleepyheads - read: Paul haha =P). Being the last Thinking Skills class, there's nothing special bout it, with Mrs Fam trying to teach us how to 'think' as usual but i guess we cannot and will never learn =P. But she's a good lecturer i admit, in the sense that she never really lose her temper in class despite Pavan, Shan, and Ashok constantly making all sorts of noises at the back of the class. And she never reprimand us for dozing off in class too (especially Paul, Oscar and me included =P). But other than that, her lectures suck (haha...maybe i shouldn't use such a strong word but yes, her lectures suck =P). Never really learned how to answer any Thinking Skills questions till now (hmm..maybe i was to blame for sleeping in class? No..it's her lessons i swear...=P). Nevertheless, there were times when she amused us, especially today's 'group hug' with Pat haha (lol...stupidity kills, ain't it). Here's a big thanks to her for tolerating our class! (not that she has a choice anyway - she's our mentor ;) )

Lunchtime at Kim Gary...and possible class trip in discussions
After college, someone suggested we go Kim Gary (you know, the restaurant me, Jem and Paul went last week) to eat. So after gathering all the budaks we can find (me, Chow, Afree, Anne, Paul, Hoi, Jem, Ashok, Yih Seong, Denise, Yong Chen, Khang Wern and Zi Yin (Afree's friend...not sure how to spell her name) ), we went there in 3 cars. During lunch, Afree suddenly thought of organising a class trip to Lanjut (somewhere in Pahang near the border with Johor..). Much discussions later, all of us there agreed on a class trip right after our AS exams, before our Semester 2 exams (some of us cannot make it during the end-year holidays so we brought it forward). Think this class trip is our way of showing how 'united' our class are to Ms Ho? Me think so... (Just a few days ago, she said she finds it weird our class never organise any class trip during the holidays before, unlike her other classes. During one of her 'interruptions' of our dinner, she even said she realised our class are split into a few gangs (which is rather true...).) Maybe this class trip will prove otherwise... Neway hope this class trip's going to go smoothly...(at least Yih Seong's not planning it haha =P - most of Yih Seong's plans rarely work out as planned ;) )

Update on our apartment crisis
According to Yih Seong (who found this info from his 'sources'), Ms Ho's brother wants to buy an apartment in My Place. So to discuss bout whether to take up this apartment, 6 of us (Yong Chen was out...wait, does Yong Chen even live here anymore? =P) got together tonight and Yih Seong called Mr Ho to get more info. Apparently, the apartment's going to be on another side of My Place and it'll be on the highest floor (a floor higher than our current one which is at the 3rd floor). On the plus side, the apartment's gonna have air-con, sofa, water heater, and all sorts of luxury at a much lower rent than the one we are currently renting from Taylor's. Sounds like a dream eh? Too bad there's a catch : Ms Ho will be granted all access to our whole apartment! (Haha that's what we think the catch is anyway...). As we couldn't decide whether to take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity then, we asked Mr Ho for some time to think bout it first...(but our time's running out - gotta renew our tenancy with Taylor's by Friday =/)

-5.35pm, 20 October 2004-
No more Thinking Skills from today onwards! =). Wait...that means i won't have my usual nap in college nemore! =(
