home is where the rabbits breed

Have been too lazy to blog these days. I blame the looong break! It's making me lazier than i thought i could possibly be =/.

So. While the JPA dudes and dudettes went for camp in Langkawi last week, me came back to Senai after almost 4 months of working in KL. Considering i only have few weeks left to strike off, i should be spending some time with my family i know.

Been back for 5 days now, actually. I'll say i got most of the things done already. Settled the accommodation, bought a new pair of running formal shoes for hospital rounds, that should be all that's needed to be done. Except the perishables and foodstuff to smuggle onboard, of course. Then it'll just be waiting days pass by.

Damn, 5 months are gone just like that.

There goes my plan to learn to read/write/speak Chinese.
There goes my plan to be damn good in basketball before i leave.
There goes my plan to fatten myself up to prevent hypothermia in Dundee.

And there goes my plan to relax and enjoy myself for the first time in my life.

Damn. I want my holidays back!!

Enough with my rant. Haha. On the news back home in ol' sweet home. I think i found the cure for infertility. And it lies in white fluffy animals. Couple of weeks ago, Mum put one white fluffy male and one white fluffy female together for just a second, and the next thing she knew, poof came out more white fluffy animals!

Baby rabbits are just so cute. Mum and Dad might be giving away the older ones and raise the babies instead. This home is getting a little too overcrowded. At last count i think there were a dozen chickens in the backyard. At least. Haha.

Come to think of it, i'm more at ease back home with the animals and greens everywhere than in the middle of a bustling city squeezing with dozens other strangers in the trains or on the road. Such peace and quiet to be found here. At nights i can hear crickets chirping instead of the sound of cars driving past.

I do wish for a quiet, stress-free life like this sometime in the future (pretty soon now) with a caffeine addict somewhere :P

Oh yeah just yesterday, three cousins came over, just one short of all from my dad's second sister's children. Sometimes i wonder why me and my cousins were never really close, sort of like 'blood-related and that's all'. 二姑姑 (second paternal aunt) was telling Grandma that my cousin bought a house somewhere near their home. Haha he's just 3 years older than me? Everyone's grown up now.

As i was telling 'Optimum Blunder', we are all old now..

Such a random blog post. Haha ah well. Here's a baby rabbit waving goodbye at ya. Okay, not exactly waving - it looks like it's playing possum in my hand. I don't look that carnivorous, do i? =/

home ..

Been kinda long since i update stuff here. Used to blog like every other day.. these days i just don't have the motivation to blog anymore. Too lazy perhaps?

Went Penang last week but we didn't manage to go Langkawi due to lack of interest from the rest. Still, exploring Penang with them guys and gals have been fun and fulfilling. Fulfilling in the gastronomical sense =P. All the 'famous' char kuay teow (Jackie will know best haha), ice kacang (love the peanut butter ice cream!), asam laksa, lok lok, fried popiah, hokkien prawn mee, pancakes (yum!), seafood .. we're more like 'food tourists' or something =P

Thanks to Chee Mei, Wei Cheong, Chee Liang and Sidney for showing us around =)

So now i'm finally back home in Senai with a whole month of nothing-to-do-ness ahead of me. Kinda strange i'm not as happy as i thought i would be being back home. Maybe i spent too much time away from home =/. Or it's the post-EoS-results trauma? I don't know.. something just feels out of place. Sigh.

Brought back all the rabbits.. seems like Mom's the one who's most eager to rear them. Hehe. Mom and Dad just took a few hours to build a rabbit coop (haha i don't know what else to call it) .. hope the rabbits will be more comfortable here than where i found them by the roadside. Oh yeah.. all the baby rabbits died one after another. I don't know why =(.

Update another time. Don't feel like typing much anymore.. nothing much to type anyway. To everyone, enjoy your holidays ya! =)

picture post!

Too lazy to type. One more day to freedom. The light.. at the end of the tunnel.. it's so near now.. =P. Gonna do a picture post instead la.

On the first day of EoS, my rabbit gave to me..

4 little baby rabbits!

Er. Yeah. Dirty gave birth to 4 babies. O.o. As if having two chew-happy rabbits is not hard enough. The box i sooo painstakingly made for them? They chew it up like it's the tastiest biscotti ever. Twice.

what i did instead of studying

Such a beautiful Saturday.. perfect for being stuck at your study table with mountains of books and lecture notes, mugging like your life depended on it.

Me? I was catching rabbits.

Really. Yeah =P. Never said i was a typical med student, did i?

Haha seriously.. actually i was on my way to Carrefour for some groceries shopping when i saw 2 rabbits jumping by the roadside (near the Komanwel Park). "Cute", i thought. "Funny", i thought next. "Irresponsible", came to my mind last. Yeah, there shouldn't be rabbits by the roadside.

Further up the road i saw a box with rabbit food inside. Doesn't take more to recognise it. Someone decided to abandon the rabbits there =/. Sigh.

Thought i might want to rear them. Or find someone who would like to rear them. Instead of them invading the Komanwel Park and start proliferating faster than a squamous cell carcinoma of the lung (lol. sorry can't help it. was studying that last ma). Or stain the road with their blood and guts =S.

There were 3 of them actually.. but i only managed to catch 2 of them and kept them inside a box. Probably will go back there tomorrow for the third one.

Just a few hours after i brought them home, and they've already shat a tonne. Ugh. And when their 'home' is overflowing with shit, they decided to jump out of the box and shat all over my backyard too. I'm this close to treating my friends to rabbit stew for dinner. But i'm a nice person.. =P (no rabbit stew for you)

i call the left one Dirty. i call the right one Shitty.

Meanwhile i was caring for Merv's (aka Mario) turtles too. They were his birthday present couple of months ago. After almost a week of observing them, i can finally map out their everyday routine without error.

Wake up. Eat. Shit. Eat. Shit. Eat. Shit. Eat Shit. Sleep.

tutu and hippo. i dunno which is who tho.

Yawn. I need to study now. Post one last pic which i find so extremely cute. Hehe. I was washing the turtle's home and had to put them into a bowl temporarily. Then i saw this.

"i don't want to be turtle stew! get me out of here!"

Bet you never knew turtles were this smart, doncha?

ps - rabbits shat again. sigh. rabbit foot for luck, anyone? buy two free one?
